Even if your budget is tight, you do not have to skip your honeymoon. You and your new spouse will be able to use a few days away from the hassle of the real world after your wedding is over. Start your marriage off right by spending the first few days of it relaxing together. When you think of a honeymoon, you probably think of the advertisements you have seen in wedding magazines for all-inclusive beach resorts and luxury cruises. Although these trips are certainly fun, they do not fit everyone's budget. If you think that you have to travel to an exotic destination in order to have a honeymoon, you are mistaken. Before you decide to skip your honeymoon because of financial reasons, consider a camping honeymoon first. A week-long stay in a cabin can be a cozy and romantic start to married life.
If you would like to stay in a more luxurious cabin, look at different privately run campgrounds. You will pay a little more than you would if you stayed in a state park cabin. However, many privately run campgrounds offer cabins that are almost as luxurious as resort rooms. Indoor plumbing and cooking facilities can make staying in a cabin seem less like roughing it.
Once you decide to spend your honeymoon in a cabin, start researching different destinations. Make sure you consider what transportation options are available. For some campgrounds, if you fly you will need to rent a car in order to get to the campground. Other campgrounds are right by major railway stops. Make your final decision as early as possible. Because of their low cost, many campgrounds book up far in advance. Make sure you make reservations so that you are not disappointed by a full campground when you arrive at your honeymoon destination. Once you arrive, you can unpack and settle into your cabin. Then, spend your days exploring and your nights snuggling with your new spouse. A honeymoon in a cabin is a unique and romantic honeymoon option.
